TiPS second Foundational Acceleration Demo Day showcases firms’ successes

demo day

On 6th September, TiPS held the second demo day event for our Foundational Accelerator. Taking place online, our participating firms for this cohort attended to celebrate completing the programme. Eight of our firms shared a short presentation on what they learned from the training in Power Automate and gave a real-life example of how they’d used it to create a specific process and how this had benefitted them and their firm.

The firms had used their free training and support on Microsoft 365 Power Automate to create flows that allowed them to automate processes such as:

  • Automating expense form approval to reduce the number of people involved which reduced the time taken from a few weeks to a few minutes.
  • Creating an HR process automation using a sickness absence form as an example. This resulted in improved efficiency in processing sickness absence data and reduced the risk of missing forms whilst increasing transparency.
  • Coordinating the production and approval of various forms of marketing communications saving time and ensuring more consistent marketing.
  • Improving file version management by automating processes directly from MS SharePoint.  This meant data could be collated and renamed easily to ensure no human errors or significant amounts of manual input, saving both time and confidence in the process.
  • Improving the onboarding process to streamline collecting leads process into a CRM system to avoid errors, reduce time and to be able to scale up without labour intensive manual inputs.

The TiPS programme also offered a great opportunity for peer learning, where advanced solutions and ‘know-how’ were not only directly shared between the cohort participants, but also used by the TiPS team to tailor the current cohort’s support and generated great resources and examples for future cohorts.

TiPS are continuing to recruit firms for future cycles of free Foundational Acceleration. If you would like to accelerate your firm’s adoption of widely available technologies such as Microsoft 365 tools, then apply on the TiPS website.
