Martin Spring, Principal Investigator for the TiPS accelerator, was a panellist at an event 19th June 2024, run on by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). The event, “Innovation: Technology and AI – practical challenges and opportunities”, included a keynote presentation “Making better use of technology”, by Angellee Small, Principal Corporate Counsel, Microsoft, and two panel discussions. In his comments, Martin stressed the need to make a start, however, modest, with technology adoption, but also to keep an open mind as to the unanticipated benefits that the adoption process can bring: it is not all about automating burdensome tasks, but also about releasing potential and developing new and better services for clients.
