In February, we hosted our Proof of Concept Demo Days in Birmingham, bringing together our amazing cohort of 5 mid-tier law firms and 3 accountancy firms. We delved into the challenges and successes of their participation in a ten-month innovation adoption accelerator.
Each firm worked tirelessly to adopt cutting-edge digital technology in their practice, and their collective experience has directly shaped our TiPS blueprint for future innovation adoption accelerators in the UK professional services sector.
Key Take-Aways
All firms faced operational and strategic challenges in adopting new technologies. Common challenges included communication, employee engagement, collaboration, change management, and leadership. However, we also uncovered some nuanced differences. Initially, firms saw this as an opportunity to experiment, but by the end of the TiPS accelerator programme, they felt more confident knowing that transformation is an ongoing, iterative, and incremental process.
Firms are now in a far stronger position, ready to embrace the pace of AI change with sufficient checks and boundaries in place. By participating in the TiPS Proof of Concept programme, these firms are well-equipped to implement and succeed in future technology adoption projects, accelerating transformation “one step at a time.”
What’s Next?
The TiPS team will write up individual firm case studies, which will directly influence how we refine and develop our blueprint for adoption acceleration. We’ll also create an online hub for the professional services sector. Stay tuned for more updates!
