Take a step back: the business purpose of technology and innovation
Law and accounting firms receive many invitations from vendors to try out software for both general-purpose and more specific applications, and FOMO may lead to enthusiasm for the latest solution offered. Technology-based innovation is important, but so is understanding the business purpose of that innovation.
In this session, we will hear from firms in accounting and law about how they make technology serve the purpose of the business. We will also hear what industry research reveals about the best way to build a solid case for technology adoption. The trick is to find a balance between waiting for a perfect 10-year tech strategy before doing anything and a series of almost random experiments that are not aligned with any strategic aims.

The solution is already on your desk!
In the panel discussion with law firm leaders and legal tech wizards, we will ask the very real question:
Are we truly using the Microsoft suite, or are we just spiritually attached to Outlook?
From hidden Co-Pilot gems (RIP Clippy) to Power Automate magic, we’ll explore how tools you already have can unlock massive time savings, spark creativity, and maybe even ignite some ideas. Expect insights, surprising use cases, and at least one person saying: “Wait, you can do that in Excel?” Also from a digital acceleration perspective is it the right thing to do to leverage Microsoft and similar tools to the full or do we need more best of breed systems? What will great legaltech of the future look like?
Don’t miss it—because the future of legal innovation might already be sitting quietly in your taskbar.

Creating the conditions for adoption
How to SUCCEED at Technology Adoption in Professional Service Firms?
In today’s fast-evolving landscape, professional service firms must harness technology not just to keep pace but to gain a competitive edge. Yet, technology adoption is more than just choosing the right tools—it’s about understanding the use case, fostering engagement, and creating the right conditions for successful implementation.
Join us for an insightful online event designed for legal and accounting professionals, where industry experts and innovators will share strategies for navigating technology adoption with confidence.
We will focus on our two C’s within the SUCCEED framework: Communication and Critics – and help to answer the following:
1) Why communication matters in technology adoption?
2) Why involving everyone, even the critics, by providing training & support is an essential element for making adoption happen?

Technology is important, but organisational change is essential
The professional services sector is undergoing rapid technological transformation. From AI-powered document review to virtual assistants and automation tools, new technologies are reshaping how legal and accountancy work is delivered. But while the tools are available, successful adoption is not guaranteed.
This event explores crucial insights into implementation: technology alone does not drive change—people and organisations do. Without aligning strategy, culture, processes, and regulatory frameworks even the most advanced AI tools can fall short of their potential.
In this session we will unpack the relationship between technology adoption and organisational change in professional services. The event aims to foster open discussion on what it truly takes for a firm to become ready for tech adoption.
We will go beyond the technology and understand how to drive change focussing on:
1) How to foster a growth mindset for technology adoption?
2) How to engage professionals for technology adoption?

“Imagine there’s no lawyers” – Futures of professional services
For years, commentators such as Richard Susskind have foretold the demise of the professional, as technology becomes capable of more human-like reasoning. And yet law and accounting firms persist as an important part of the economy and society, while negotiating new relationships with technology, most recently Generative AI.
This session will not predict the future of law – and the professions more generally – but will explore different ways of thinking about the alternative futures that might emerge. We will hear from foresight and horizon-scanning specialists, as well as from an emerging breed of novel, technology-enabled professional service organisation. The discussion will be of interest to leaders of professional service firms and those concerned with developing policy and investing in the sector.
